On Saturday, March 14th, there will be a national aikido day for youth and on Sunday, March 15th, for adults. These days are organized by the Dutch Aikido Federation (AbN). Both days will take place in Papendal, the National Sports Centre of the Netherlands, part of NOC*NSF.
For adults on March 15th, here is the poster. Times are 10:00 – 18:00. Participation is free for dojos that are members of the AbN, such as ours. At the end of the day, there will be an embukai (demonstration) in which Sanshinkai Aikido Nederland will also participate. The Japanese ambassador will also be present.
For children aged approximately 10 and up, here’s the poster for March 14th. Times are 13:30 – 17:30. Participation is free for everyone, even if your dojo isn’t an AbN member. There will be free sandwiches and soup for children, parents, and supervisors that day.
